Meet our first Featured Caregiver for 2025…Michelle!

Michelle has been with the Sunny Days Great Lakes family for almost a year. She’s originally from Monona but currently resides in Marinette. She has a 22-year-old son named Gavin, and two cats, Cup Cake and Princess. Outside of work she enjoys looking over her coin collection and starting to grow her flower garden. Her favorite restaurants are Pizza Di Roma, La Hacienda, Pizza Pit, and Falbro Brothers Pizza. Her favorite types of music are Electric Blues, Heavy Blues, and Punk; in particular, Chess, Sun, Stax Records, and Gypsy Swing. Her favorite movie is Dementia 13. A fun fact about Michelle is that she loves history and has a vast volume of useless information in her head ready to spill at any moment.

When asked about her favorite part of being a caregiver, Michelle said “…Helping out the client. Making sure they are independent.” Her advice to new caregivers is “…pay attention to the client…their home… be yourself within reason… overall, pay attention.” When asked what caregiving means to her, she said “…being helpful so the client stays independent.” Her favorite memory with a client was “…splitting peanuts for the mama squirrels and their babies.”
