Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of November… Lynnea!

Lynnea has been a caregiver at Sunny Days for 4 months! She originally lived in Hollywood, Florida, and currently lives in Escanaba, Michigan with her partner and their pets: a Pit Bull mix named Nikita and Dwarf bunny named Akashi. Lynnea’s favorite food is Chinese, her favorite movie is The Color Purple, and her favorite kind of music is R&B. A fun fact about Lynnea is that she takes her pet bunny for walks. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her 3 children and 5 grandchildren.

Lynnea’s favorite part about being a caregiver is getting to see her clients smile and being their companion. When asked what caregiving means to her, Lynnea replied: “…being able to care for the ones in society that need some extra help, and I am fortunate enough to give it”. Her advice to new caregivers is to remember to treat your clients with dignity, care, and compassion, as if they were a part of your family.
