Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of January…Katie!

Katie has been a caregiver at Sunny Days for 5 months! She is originally from Calumet Michigan, and currently lives in Dollar Bay Michigan with her 2 sons, Greysin and Ryker, their dog Gypsy, and their cat named Mittens. Her favorite type of food is Mexican, her favorite movie is 50 First Dates, and she loves all types of music. A fun fact about Katie is that she would like to own a hobby farm one day. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, rock picking, kayaking, and swimming.

Katies’ favorite part about being a caregiver is the bonds that are formed and knowing how she makes a difference in her client’s lives. When asked about what caregiving means to her, Katie replied, “Being compassionate and treating all with dignity and respect”. Her advice to new caregivers is to focus on building connections because it can be so rewarding.
