Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of August… Jennifer!

Jennifer has been with Sunny Days for almost a year! She is originally from Calumet and currently lives in L’Anse with her husband Craig. Together they have 6 children and 6 grandchildren. She also has 3 German Shepards, Thumper, Sarah and Ginger. Jennifers favorite food is homemade gluten free General Tso Chicken. Her favorite genre of music is classical and her favorite movie is Random Harvest. A fun fact about Jennifer is that she enjoys sitting in her garden and talking with the birds and bugs. Outside of work she enjoys gardening and canning fruits and vegetables.

Jennifer’s favorite part about being a caregiver is being able to make her client’s day easier. When asked about what caregiving means to her, Jennifer replied, “..Providing a service to someone who is experiencing difficulties getting through their lives, whether it be cooking, cleaning, even walking with them.. Just listening and being there for them”. Her advice to new caregivers is to listen and let the client tell you what you can do and how you can do it.
