Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of July… Carly!

Carly has been with Sunny Days for about 2 years! She lives in Iron Mountain with her husband Travis, their two cats, Callie and Chloe, and dog Boozer. Her favorite food is spaghetti. She enjoys listening to country and pop music and loves watching scary movies. Outside of work Carly enjoys hunting with her husband and being with family and friends.

Carly’s favorite part of being a caregiver is knowing that every day she makes a difference in people’s lives who aren’t able to take care of themselves. Also seeing how grateful they are to have her in their lives. When asked what caregiving means to her, Carly replied: “…Building strong connections with clients, being able to help them with their physical and emotional needs.” Her advice to new caregivers is to remember you are in other people’s homes and to be very respectful, listen to your clients and learn their needs, and be confident in what you do! Carly’s favorite memory with a client is when they went to the Ice Cream Barn to get ice cream and visit the cows.
