Meet our featured caregiver for the month of April… Tammy.

Tammy has worked with Sunny Days Great Lakes for a year and eight months. She is from Waukegan, Illinois. She currently lives in Caspian, Michigan alongside her two dogs, her boyfriend Quinn and two children Jessica and Patrick. She has three granddaughters Saige, Hunter, and Autumn and honorary grandson Caleb. Outside of work Tammy enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, her grandchildren and family. She loves to go camping along Lake Superior. Her favorite foods are pizza, shrimp and steaks. Her favorite music is 80s and country. And her favorite movie is Dirty Dancing. A fun fact about Tammy is that she loves helping people and loves taking rides along Lake Superior to watch the ships.

Tammy’s Favorite part about being a caregiver at Sunny Days Great Lakes is listening to the client’s stories, playing card games with them and talking with them. She loves to make her clients smile and loves to know that she makes their day. Her advice for new caregivers would be “… take the time out of your time with your client & just listen to one of their stories from their lives and it will make their day. Some days are going to be challenging but the rewards are the best. Putting a smile on their faces makes it all worth it.”
