Meet our Featured Caregiver for the month of March… Christopher!

Christopher has been with the Sunny Days Family for one year and is originally from Iron Mountain and still resides in the area with his family. He has his partner Aaliyah, and they have a daughter arriving in May, as well has their cat, Mocha, and fish, Harold. Outside of work, Christopher enjoys spending time with family, fishing, going for walks, and being outdoors. His favorite food is pizza, favorite type of music is Country (in particular, Morgan Wallen and Jelly Roll), and his favorite movie is Home Alone. A fun fact about Christopher is that he loves singing and was a section leader in high school.

When asked what caregiving means to him, he said “…the willingness to learn new things and build relationships and the feeling I get when I go home knowing I was able to help someone.” His favorite part of being a caregiver is “…Being a positive person in someone’s life and feeling accomplished taking care of someone’s loved one.” His advice for new caregivers is “…Be open minded and you will learn many new tips and techniques from your people. Know that what you do can make a difference in someone’s life.” His favorite memories with clients are usually when they go on walks and look for birds and chipmunks.
